                           Arafeh: a quality improvement

Safwan Arafeh, member of the Syrian-Turkey businessmen council, said: there's no doubt that the Syrian-Turkish relations have improved during President Bashar Al-Assad visit to Turkey in 2004, which was followed by several bilateral agreements, creating a fertile ground to improve commercial exchanges which are expected to reach 3 Billion US Dollars during the few coming years.

Arafeh assure that the business sector has accomplished multiple meetings & activities, which contributed in making more commercial & investment agreements, where several mixed companies were established, in addition to the attraction of new Turkish investments, as well as for the goods flow between the two countries. The decrease of the exit tax to Turkey, he added, has remarkably contributed in facilitating the trade and tourism movement. The business sector, he said, counts on the flourishing Syrian– Turkish relations, providing that Turkey is the gate of Syria, to the European Union, and after the current Mr. President visit, we expect further improvements in all other fields as it used to occur during the President’s visits to other countries.
